How Livo helps healthcare and social care facilities

Attract talent, optimise planning and handle incidents in one place.

Livo is a digital platform that centralises the management of one-off shifts, hiring processes and job offers, and the organisation of your own internal team, so you can work with agility, precision and confidence.

Through a digital system, care facilities gain access to a network of more than 75,000 verified, highly qualified healthcare professionals, and get immediate support to cover absences, reinforce units, bring in permanent staff or simplify their day to day operations.

A solution designed for the challenges of the sector

Healthcare and social care facilities face multiple challenges that make it harder to manage staff efficiently and maintain quality of care:

  • A shortage of talent and difficulty attracting key profiles
  • High turnover and teams under pressure
  • Long hiring processes with little traceability
  • Coordinators and supervisors swamped by administrative tasks

Livo was created precisely to answer these challenges. With the all in one platform, your facility can:

  • Access one of the largest healthcare talent networks
  • Manage shifts, cover and incidents in a quick, transparent and centralised way
  • Guarantee safe, traceable processes with automated checks
  • Look after professional wellbeing by respecting the right to disconnect

Before choosing a module: which gap are you filling?

Many of the enquiries that reach Livo start out badly framed, and not through any fault of the person asking. A facility asks for “nursing staff” when what it is actually facing are three different problems, measured by different criteria and solved in different ways. Separating them before looking at tools saves weeks.

The first problem is the gap of hours. Someone calls in to say they cannot make tonight's shift, or a unit sees more activity than forecast and needs one more person tomorrow. What matters here is response time, and the solution is short by definition: it ends when the shift ends.

The second is the gap of months. Long-term sick leave, unpaid leave, a new unit opening, a vaccination campaign. The urgency is lower but the process is more demanding: applications have to be assessed, the real fit with the service checked, and a contract that will last has to be formalised.

The third is not a gap at all, it is organising what you already have. A facility can be fully staffed and still lose hours of supervision every week building rotas, handling swaps between colleagues and answering messages out of hours. That problem is not solved by bringing more people in, and mistaking it for either of the other two is the most expensive error of the three.

Each Livo module answers one of those three problems. A facility can use only the one it needs and add the others when it makes sense.

Three solutions, one single platform

With Livo, your facility manages both internal staff and external talent as a whole. Each module is designed to cover specific day to day needs, optimising planning, reducing incidents and safeguarding quality of care.

1. Livo Pool (one-off shift cover)

A fast response to peaks, absences and incidents

Cover one-off shifts with verified external professionals when your internal team needs reinforcement.

  • Peaks in care activity caused by rising demand
  • Summer cover and other holiday periods
  • Last minute absences (personal emergencies and unforeseen events)
  • Weekend and night reinforcement, when planning is most sensitive

2. Livo Offers (stable hiring)

Temporary contracts and medium to long term reinforcement

Manage job offers and bring professionals into the facility on a stable basis.

  • Temporary contracts covering long term absences (extended sick leave, maternity or paternity leave or career breaks)
  • Staff reinforcement for specific campaigns (vaccination, opening new units, adding beds and so on)
  • Medium and long stay cover, when you need stability with fast, traceable hiring processes

3. Livo Internal (internal team management)

Organise and plan the facility's internal team from the same place.

  • Shift planning for permanent and temporary staff
  • Internal reorganisation for unit changes, reduced hours or new needs
  • Coordination across different areas (inpatient wards, ICU, emergency care, outpatient clinics, care homes and more)
  • Respect for the right to disconnect, avoiding calls and messages outside working hours through more orderly communication systems

A healthcare community that grows with you

More than 200 care facilities already strengthen their teams with Livo: hospitals, clinics, primary care centres, care homes and laboratories.

They all use Livo to have complete cover and improve continuity of care, guarantee flexible care adapted to peaks and changes in demand, and gain precision and speed in management, reducing the operational load on the internal team.

How it gets started

Onboarding a facility does not require changing the clinical information system or migrating historical records. Livo works on the staffing layer, not on the medical record, and that separation is what keeps the rollout from becoming an IT project. The onboarding team supports the setup, and a facility is usually operational in under two weeks.

There is no list price. Each facility gets a plan based on its volume and the needs it wants to cover, so the conversation starts with the diagnosis of the three gaps rather than with a price per shift.

The professionals who can apply for shifts published by your facility have already been checked for qualifications, professional registration and documentation. Livo runs that verification, not the facility, and it is what allows an urgent cover to be resolved without giving up control over who walks into the unit.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of facilities can use Livo?

Hospitals, clinics, primary care centres, nursing homes and other health and social care facilities. The platform is configured for the type of facility, because a nursing home and an acute hospital share neither units nor profiles nor pace of activity.

Do we have to take all three modules?

No. Each module answers a different need and works on its own. It is common to start with one-off shift cover, where the result shows in the first week, and add stable vacancy or internal team management later.

How long does a shift take to fill?

It depends on notice and speciality. Most shifts are filled within a few hours. Notice is the variable that matters most: a shift published two days ahead gets more applications than the same shift published that morning.

How are professionals verified?

Livo checks qualifications, professional registration, documentation and references before enabling a profile. Only validated professionals can apply for shifts at your facility.

How much does Livo cost?

Each facility gets a plan based on its volume and the needs it wants to cover. There is no single public price list, so the proposal is prepared after a demo.

How long does setup take?

Livo's onboarding team supports the configuration. A facility is usually operational in under two weeks.
